Layers:
Description: The sea-floor geology map layers of both Quaternary and pre-Quaternary age show the stratigraphy and lithology of the map features according to the INSPIRE-based vocabulary. The map features also bear information on genesis, separated by event environment and event process, where available. The geology is supplemented by pre-Quaternary faults.Further map layers are geomorphology (polygons and lines) and general physiographic features. Where provided the origin and reference of each feature is accessible. The available objects with the highest spatial resolution are used for the map display.

Subject: These layers show geological features of marine sea-floor geology. The geological features are widely supplied by EMODNet Geology project partners. The data resolution varies from 1:10,000 in some small areas to 1:3,000,000. The data were compiled by BGR from the EMODnet geology partner organisations in the EMODnet Geology project.
